Ruta de los Siete Lagos (RN231 and RP234) toward San Martín de los Andes is 110 km and takes about 3 hours with stops – book a full day.

The airport is about 15 km east of downtown, approximately 20 minutes' drive along RN237. Can I drive Ruta de los Siete Lagos with a regular car? Yes, the route is paved all the way and can be driven without difficulty in a regular passenger car under clear road conditions.

Are there rental agencies open on weekends in Bariloche downtown? Most of the 14 rental agencies are also open on Saturdays, but Sunday opening hours vary – check in advance.
