What do I need to bring to rent a car?
You need: a valid driver's license (at least 1 year old), a credit or debit card in the driver's name, and the booking confirmation. When renting abroad, a passport is usually also required. Neither a printed copy nor a mobile scan of your license is accepted. See our complete pickup checklist.
Do I need an international driver's license?

Can an additional driver also drive the rental car?
Yes, but additional drivers must be registered at pickup and meet the same requirements as the main driver (age, license, etc.). An additional daily fee for extra drivers often applies β sometimes $5-15 per day.
What should I check before driving off?
Do a thorough inspection: photograph all existing damage, verify they're documented in the agreement, test lights and brakes, check tires and fuel level. Also take photos of the odometer reading. Read our guide on common mistakes.
