By car, you can easily reach Kandersteg (40 km to the south) for the car ferry through the Lötschberg Tunnel to Valais.

Parking in Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen is limited in summer – start early in the morning to avoid queues. The drive to Grosse Scheidegg (closed to private cars) and Sustenpass (2224 m) are fantastic driving experiences. Keep in mind that Mürren and Wengen are car-free – leave your car in Lauterbrunnen and take the cable car.

Can I drive to Jungfraujoch in a rental car? No, Jungfraujoch is only accessible by train from Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. However, you can drive your rental car to Grindelwald (20 km) and take the train from there.

What's the most beautiful driving route from Interlaken? Sustenpass (2224 m) via Meiringen is one of Switzerland's most beautiful alpine roads. The route takes you 45 km to the east and is open June–October depending on snow conditions.
