Designate a sober driver in your group if you plan vineyard visits – Langhe's narrow winding roads require full concentration. Visit Serralunga d'Alba (12 km south) and La Morra (10 km southwest) for fantastic views over the Langhe hills. Book restaurants in advance during the truffle market in October when Alba is fully booked.

Can I visit Barolo vineyards without booking in advance? Many vineyards in Barolo and Barbaresco welcome visitors without reservations, but the most famous ones (Gaja, Giacomo Conterno) require advance booking. With a rental car, you can spontaneously explore smaller producers along the roads.

How far is it from Alba to Turin? Turin is approximately 65 km north, roughly 1 hour via the A33 and A6 motorways. A perfect combination – city culture in Turin and countryside experience in Langhe.

Are the roads in Langhe difficult to drive? The roads are paved but narrow and winding with steep hills. A regular car works excellently but avoid large vehicles.
